LIFE IS LIKE THE OCEAN

"You've been looking at the ocean for too long, and that's why you haven't seen it. You've tried too hard to find answers, but you've only become more and more confused."

"But aren't they hidden in the search?"

"Sometimes you don't even need to look for them."

"How then can you manage your life?"

"Just as the ocean manages its waters. It is both passionate and calming; it can be dangerous and gentle. But at the same time, it is an inseparable part of the other elements. It knows how to command and obey. When you understand this, you will finally be able to find the long-awaited harmony you've long sought within yourself."

"And that will be the answer to the question of how to enjoy life when it seems there is none at all?"

"That will be the answer to all your questions. Because only by understanding the essential can we understand the rest. But only the last is often first. The end can be the beginning, and the small great. Everything is simultaneously significant and unimportant. It depends on your measure. Just remember this. You may be small in the eyes of the universe until your actions become great. Then you yourself will become an inseparable part of something important. And once that happens, know that you have understood the essence of existence. For it lies in infinite learning. And if one day you stop asking questions, you will once again become small and powerless."

"What about the fact that I stared at the ocean for too long, and life still didn't give me answers?!"

"You stood on the road for too long, pondering, but forgetting to live. Simply put, you asked unnecessary questions because you were too wary of troubles for too long, because you hid behind reasoning about the complexity of existence. You tried too hard to understand what, ultimately, is unimportant to you. Because you are alive only as long as you walk. If you can, run. But don't stop for too long. One day, it might seem like this is your only way out. You'll even stop asking questions. You'll lose joy, then desire. Wanting means taking a risk; after all, there's always the risk of not getting what you want. Wanting isn't bad at all, as long as you know how to follow through. The path can be difficult. Stops are necessary. Just don't forget that they're only part of the journey."
